ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) The University of Michigan informs students and staff that a diagnosis of measles has been diagnosed in an international visitor returning home.
The university says anyone who was in some campus buildings between April 1 and April 5 should watch for rashes, fever or other symptoms. The locations are the Intramural Sports Building, the North Quad Complex and the Angell Hall Courtyard Computer Site.
It could also have been exposed outside the campus. A list of locations is available at http://www.washtenaw.org.
The case is not part of Michigan's official measles count, which is 39. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reduced the count by two on Friday after additional tests ruled out this highly contagious disease.
Health officials still urge people to get vaccinated if they have not already done so. The number of measles cases in Michigan is the highest in 65 years in 1991.
