A new glass makes phones more durable – Video

Naseem News Corning has announced the launch of a new generation of Gorilla Glass "Used to protect the structures of smart phones from bumps and scratches

The Gorilla Glass 6 is more than twice as strong as the previous generation of protective glass, protecting handset structures and screens against collisions, even when they reach a solid ground of 1.6 meters.

The new glass also features Gorilla Glass 5 with greater ability to resist scratching from sharp, rigid objects, and allows NFC tapes to better communicate with electronic devices.

Corning's new technology allowed the development of this glass to mimic the design of many other materials, and was no longer just transparent glass.
