Be careful, your finger may be exposed to amputation due to a bite of the nails

Nail biting is not usually something that some of us may give up, but it can expose a person to very serious health problems, including amputation. ;a finger.

Nail bites cause inflammation of the nail or a broken skin around the fingers, according to Every Day Health.

The inflammation of the nails is an inflammation of the nail's edge, where the skin becomes swollen, red and also painful, then a bacterium called Staphylococcus, a complete abscess filled with pus, which requires quick care to prevent the development of 39; abscesses.

In case of simple enough to treat inflammation, moisturize the edge of the nail with a cream rich in fat or Vaseline and use a disinfectant after the release of pus. If the finger remains swollen and painful, consult your doctor immediately.

In severe cases, treatment consists of using antifungal ointments or resorting to surgery if the nail is not treated medically or by abscess.

Severe inflammation should be treated promptly as the infection can spread to the salivary bone and part of the finger becomes necessary to prevent gangrene, a rare complication of inflammation around the fingernail .

The nails should be stopped and the skin torn around the fingers to prevent inflammation.If small pieces of skin appear around the nail, it is best to remove them with scissors.
