Facebook has decided to resort to the "simplicity" to design the new format of the application "Facebook Messenger", following the decision of the company to redefine the form of the application.
Stan Chudenovsky, vice president of Facebook Messenger, announced in this article that the new change would call "Messenger 4" and depend on simplicity to improve user satisfaction.

In a survey conducted by Facebook on the application, 71% of respondents acknowledged that "simplicity" was the priority of users in the external form of the application.
In an effort to simplify the application, Messenger will reduce the options available in the application from 9 to 3, "conversations", "people" and "discovery".
Facebook will also allow the user to change the colors of the conversations, once the blue color will only be available.
Future features will include "Dark Mode", an interface that reduces glare from the user's screen.
