The Dawn probe, probing the moons of the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, has stopped working after 11 years of service, NASA officials said.
Experts have known for about a month, because of the depletion of fuel, which keeps the clips facing the ground and the solar panels directed to the sun.
"It's hard for us to say this wonderful survey – goodbye, but the time has come," said program director Mark Reemann.
In addition, NASA announced the launch of experiments on models of a single aircraft, similar to the famous aircraft Concorde. The agency announced that it was modeling this aircraft for aerodynamic testing in its own laboratories and was monitoring the smooth nature of their structures and their air resistance, as well as their ability to withstand various pressures and maneuvers.
