Tomorrow – NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – Tall people are at greater risk of cancer because they have more cells, according to a recent medical study.

The study also noted that the association between height and cancer risk could simply be due to the presence of more cells for an erroneous genetic mutation.

Previous research suggests that for every 10 cm of height in the typical range of humans, the risk of cancer increases by about 10%.

Scientists have proposed different interpretations, including the fact that growth hormones may play a role in length and cancer.

The study was conducted by Leonard Noni, a professor of biology at the University of California, and published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society.

It was observed that the global study increased the risk of cancer with a length at 18 species of the disease. Noni says the results suggest that the number of cells is important.

"A number of studies have shown that long-term people appeared to be at increased risk for cancer, but the increased risk is low," said Georgina Hill of Cancer Research UK. Healthy weight
