LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – UK Healthcare has released a second video in its “Voices from the Front Lines” series. The series highlights the stories of frontline staff caring for COVID-19 patients.

In the second video, Rev. Jay Fulton shares his take on telling spiritual caregivers that they cannot visit their patients.

“Unfortunately, to keep people safe, we can’t have them here. I never thought I should look at a pastor and say I can’t see your people, ”said Reverend Jay Fulton, Chaplain, UK Healthcare Pastoral Serices. “It hurts my soul.”

Reverend Fulton has been chaplain at UK Healthcare for 11 years.

UK Healthcare shared an update on COVID-19 patients on Monday. According to UK Healthcare, 120 people are currently hospitalized because of the virus. Among them, 79% are not vaccinated. Children 12 and over are encouraged to make an appointment to be vaccinated HERE.
