The head of AFL-CIO's Philadelphia chapter is not happy that former Vice President Joe Biden has not committed to attending a "Presidential Workers' Summit" which should participate in other Democratic White House candidates.
"He still considers himself a Pennsylvanian in the soul, headquartered in Philadelphia, but his staff did not understand the importance of getting together and talking to our workers. "So is very disappointing," said Pat Eiding, chairman of AFL-CIO's Philadelphia board. said in an NPR interview released Friday.
"There must be some respect for the workers, if they want to have their vote," he added.

As Eiding noted, his campaign headquarters is in Philadelphia.
Biden has also long emphasized his close ties to organized work. And so far, he's the only Democratic presidential candidate to have the support of a big national union – the International Firefighters' Association approved the former vice president shortly after he introduced his candidacy at the end of April.
