(Reuters) – United Airlines chief executive Scott Kirby said on Wednesday he expects a recovery in travel demand to continue “largely unabated” despite a spurred COVID-19 resurgence by the more contagious Delta variant of the coronavirus.
Speaking to investors after the second quarter results, however, Kirby noted that a temporary decline in reopenings is possible and more difficult to predict due to the political dimensions.
