An unvaccinated, COVID-19-affected Florida TikTok user urged her subscribers to get the coronavirus vaccine, saying it was a “mistake” she didn’t make, in her latest video post before his death.
“I don’t have a lot of energy to speak, so I want to try and do this quickly,” said Megan Alexandra Blankenbiller, 31, as she appeared to have difficulty breathing from a hospital bed in a room. TikTok video from August 15.
“So just to follow up, like I said in my other videos, I didn’t get the shot,” Blankenbiller said. “I’m not anti-vax. I was just trying to do my research. I was scared, and I wanted my family and I to all do it at the same time. And as you probably know, it’s hard for me. get everyone to agree on something if people feel differently.
In the video post, which has now been viewed over 900,000 times, Blankenbiller said it “was a mistake” that she did not receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
“I shouldn’t have waited,” Blankenbiller told his 18,000 subscribers. “If you’re 70% sure you want the vaccine, go get it. Don’t wait. Go get it. Because I hope if you get it you don’t end up in the hospital like me.”
Nine days after the video was posted by Blankenbiller, she passed away, WebMD reported.
Blankenbiller’s sister confirmed her brother’s death in a Facebook post, according to NBC News.
“I am saddened and heartbroken to share that my older sister was called to Heaven today,” Cristina Blankenbiller posted on Facebook on August 24. “Megan was such a lovely person who gave her everything to everyone in need. She was a light all around her and brought joy to everyone she met.”
