In her last TikTok video before her death, Megan Alexandra Blankenbiller encouraged her thousands of followers to get vaccinated as she battled Covid-19 from a hospital.
“I don’t have a lot of energy to talk, so I’ll try to do this quickly. I’ll take a few breaks,” Blankenbiller said in the August 15 video, which has been viewed over 850,000 times.

Megan Blankenbiller revealed she had Covid and was hospitalized in an August 13 TikTok video. In another post, she became emotional as she spoke of hearing what she assumed to be the screams of family members who had lost a loved one.

Cristina Blankenbiller declined a telephone interview on Thursday. She said via Facebook Messenger that the family, including her mother and sisters, made an appointment to be vaccinated but tested positive for the virus in early August before they could be vaccinated. Megan Blankenbiller had the worst symptoms, she added.
“Megan was a really happy and sincere person. She wanted to spread joy and bring a smile to everyone’s face. She would uplift people and motivate people to be kind to each other,” said Cristina Blankenbiller.
She thinks people have been drawn to her sister’s TikTok because of her positive outlook on life.
“She was the kind of person who chose to see the world through rose-colored glasses, trying to find beauty in everything. I think that kind of perspective is what attracted people to her,” said Cristina Blankenbiller. . “Her laugh was infectious and you couldn’t meet her without your mood improving.”
Her other sister, Rachel Blankenbiller, told WebMD: “Her last video really showed who she was. She was selfless – the kind of person who used her last days to help others.”
