Jacksonville Jaguars coach Urban Meyer is still feeling the heat because of a viral video last week that showed another woman dancing near her knees at an Ohio bar days after her loss on Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Meyer’s appearance in the video immediately raised eyebrows. He was criticized not only for hanging out with a woman who is not his wife, but for not returning to Jacksonville with his team after the loss. The coach chose to stay in Columbus to see part of his family.

As Jaguars owner Shad Khan issued a scathing statement about the issue and Meyer apologized for the incident, Pro Football Talk reported on Sunday that “the situation is far from over.”
The report speculated that Meyer’s future as head coach may hinge on his statement about advising general manager Trent Baalke in advance that he will stay in Ohio. Pro Football Talk reported that players and staff were unaware Meyer would not return until they were on the plane home.
The other scenario that could cost Meyer his job is the other factors that led to the bar incident. Meyer hired former Iowa coach Chris Doyle amid accusations of racist comments, alleging he took vaccination status into account when making decisions about downsizing and losing staff. first four games of the season.

“The ownership of this team is with the players,” Meyer said of Sunday’s game via Pro Football Talk. “I don’t believe it’s on my side.… The team leaders are going to make that decision. It depends on how much trust you have established with them, how we structure everything this week and how we focus on game victory. “
He continued, “I’ll be as clear as I can. Our staff are working very hard. But you know as well as I do that ownership of this team is with the players.”
