According to the California Attorney General's Office, seventeen people were charged in connection with a theft targeting Apple stores.

The group is accused of having entered Apple stores wearing sweatshirts and gadgets.

Eight adults were arrested or reserved, while arrest warrants were issued against nine other suspects.

The robberies resulted in a loss of more than a million dollars, said the state attorney general's office in a statement released Thursday.

"Organized retail theft costs California business owners millions and exposes them to imitating criminals, and ultimately consumers pay for the misappropriation of merchandise," California Attorney General Xavier Becerra said. .

The wave of theft has reached Apple stores in 19 counties in California, said the attorney general's office.

The Apple Store flight series seems to go back to May, reports a San Francisco subsidiary, KGO-TV, when an Apple store in Carlsbad, Calif., was hit.
