2018 iPad Pro rumor to be slim thin

The tablets are supposed to be dead but the Big Tech Three apparently did not receive the memo. Microsoft continues to mix Surface-to-Surface with 2-in-1 tablet PCs, and Google even introduced its first-in-the-box Chrome OS 2-in-1 operating system. But more importantly, Apple, the only company whose tablets still have positive sales, continues to improve its mobile tablets. The last word on the new iPad Pro is that they, or at least one of them, will be even thinner than the finest smartphone to date.

It's not really surprising to hear that an iPad would even compete with an iPhone in terms of thinness. After all, he has a lot of free space. Of course, the battery occupies most of this space, and much of its thickness is actually attributed to the bump of the camera.

Nevertheless, if the last word in circulation is reliable, the iPad Pro 2018 could have a thickness of 5.9 mm. It's easily the thinnest tablet you can find on the market, thinner than any smartphone.

That said, with limited spaces come a few compromises. There will probably be a compromise with the battery, which should be thinner but will still occupy less surface. It is unlikely that the camera is as good. Again, taking pictures with tablets is generally frowned upon. It is also unclear whether this soft 5.9mm thickness is applicable to both iPad Pro formats or, more likely, limited to the 10.5-inch model.

Even though Apple has not launched this slim profile, the new iPad Pro will already have a lot of features for fans to feel like it. There is face recognition, for example, and very thin glasses. Finally, there could also be a new Apple pencil that can be associated with iPad Pro via proximity. And, of course, a new A processor that puts the "pro" in iPad Pro.
