The Subaru BRZ remains one of the most fun cars to drive without breaking the sweat – or the speed limit, given its reasonably accessible limits. At the beginning of the 2019 model year, this does not change, but there is a new limited edition variant for savvy fanatics.
The Subaru BRZ 2019 will start at $ 25,795 before $ 885 for delivery and destination, an increase of only $ 200 over the 2018 model year. The Premium Base Pad is only available with a manual transmission at six speeds, and it incorporates solid features such as LED headlights, keyless entry, two USB ports and an interior trimmed with leather. If you want more comfort and more technology, the BRZ Limited 2019 starts at $ 28,645. Standard equipment is expanding to include dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless start, heated seats with Alcantara trim and a 4.2-inch color display in the instrument cluster. The infotainment screen increases to 7 inches and adds navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A six-speed manual is standard, but a six-speed automatic transmission is also available.
For drivers, the BRZ Limited manual transmission can be selected with the $ 1,195 performance group. This set includes four-piston Brembo front calipers and two-piston rear calipers, in addition to more sporty Sachs dampers. It also includes 17-inch alloy wheels exclusive to this set.
At the top of the BRZ 2019 range is the new Series.Gray trim, which complements the limited version with its Performance Package upgrade. The exterior is lined with a special shade of gray paint (Cool Khaki), black mirrors and black badges. The interior receives a special door trim, a frameless rear view mirror and a special version of the 4.2-inch screen in the group of instruments. No matter the trim, the engine stays the same. It is a 4-liter 4-cylinder flat-bottomed gasoline engine developing 205 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque. The 2019 Subaru BRZ will be on sale in the fall.
