For the first time in the series, Devil May Cry 5 will allow players to choose between two, sometimes three different characters for certain missions. Said characters include: Nero, Dante and V.
The news of the new feature comes from Capcom's Matt Walker (via ResetEra), which has confirmed so much about Discord.
"We mentioned that there will be a bunch of missions in the game," Walker writes. "For some missions, you can play as a character, for some you can choose between two, and for some, you can choose between the three."
Walker will not disclose the number of missions of this type, but there will be many. Or in other words, choose Dante several times, because who in their mind would choose Nero or V rather than Dante?
Although the person you choose will certainly have an impact on the current gameplay, it is unclear whether this will have an impact on the story. It is quite possible that depending on the character you play, the characters interact differently with you, but this is not clear for Walker or Capcom, so for now, we can only speculate. Chances are it's not going to do it.
Devil May Cry 5 will be released on March 8, 2019 via PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
