& # 39; Pokemon: let's go: how to catch the legendary Pokémon

Of course, the main goal of Pokémon: let's go Beat the Elite Four and become the Pokémon League Champion, but capturing legendary Pokémon offers a unique thrill. Like Yellow Pokémon, the three legendary birds – Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres – and the very powerful Mewtwo can be caught in their respective hiding places.

Unlike most encounters in Let's goyou must actually fight and defeat legendary Pokémon before you can catch them. For this reason, you must have in your group some Pokémon that are around level 50 to have a good chance of catching the legendary birds. For Mewtwo, you must be closer to level 70.

In this guide, we will detail where to find and how to catch each of the four legendary Pokémon.

Zapdos

This impressive flying-type electric Pokémon can be found in the Power Station. The power station is located east of Highway 10. Just north of the entrance to the Rock Tunnel, you will see a stream. You can use the secret Sea Skim technique to get to the power plant. You can also go to the power station on a flying Pokémon. The power plant itself is not so different from the other large buildings and caves of Kanto. Just browse his labyrinth of connected rooms until you meet Zapdos in a large open space surrounded by spark generators.

Zapdos is at level 50. As a flying and electric Pokémon, Zapdos does not behave well against rock and ice Pokémon, so if you have a Graveler, a Golem or a Strong Jynx, these would be preferable. Eevee Starter also works well, but if you started with Pikachu, you'd better use another Pokemon. As a rule of thumb, if you have six Pokémon around level 50, you should be able to pull it out with a solid team effort. However, you only have five minutes to defeat Zapdos.

After defeating Zapdos, the normal capture sequence begins. We suggest lobbing a bay or two before trying to use an Ultra Ball. It only took us two Ultra Balls to secure Zapdos.

Moltres

It is very likely that you meet Moltres in the main adventure. The Firebird is located in Victory Road, which will lead you to the four elite. In Victory Road, look for Agent Jenny, the same kind woman who gave you Squirtle early. Near her, there is a big stone that must be spread to reach a ladder. Go down the ladder and on the right side of the room is the platform where you will find Moltres.

Like Zapdos, Moltres is at level 50. If you have a rock type Pokémon, you can shoot Moltres in a hurry. Or you could use the squirt officer Jenny gave you earlier (let's hope she's a Blastoise now). Once again, you have five minutes to defeat Moltres. Once you've eliminated it, you'll want to feed it one or two berries, then start throwing Ultra Balls.

Articuno

Articuno is located on the Seafoam Islands to the southeast. You can get there by using Sea Skim, either below Fushsia City or on the right side of Cinnabar Island. You can also fly in the back of a flying Pokémon. The Seafoam Island Cave has several entrances, but it does not matter which one you go in first. To reach Articuno, you must first slow down the flow of water through the cave. To do this, climb the ladders and push each of the big stones into the holes. Follow the stones in the holes and push them again until they land in the water below. Once you have isolated the strong current, you are free to use Sea Skim to reach the Articuno platform.

Like its legendary cousins, Articuno is at level 50. As a flying ice Pokémon, Articuno has some weaknesses that you can exploit. Your best choice is to use a fire, steel or rock Pokémon. Once again, you have five minutes to defeat Articuno and start the sequence. You should be able to catch Articuno by giving him some berries and throwing an Ultra Ball or two in his own way.

Mewtwo

Unlike other legendary Pokémon, you have to beat the Elite Four before you can catch Mewtwo. Once the match is over, your rival will talk to you about a cave located near the Cerulean city. To get to the Cerulean Cave, go up the bridge on the north side of the town, then Sea Skim in the water on the left. A coach trainer stands outside, against which you can fight if you wish.

Cerulean Cave is quite simple. Climb the ladder in the northeast corner of the room. You will arrive in a room filled with descending ladders. Go down the one in the north-west corner of the room. Follow the path in the next area until you reach the small stream. Use Sea Skim to reach the platform with Mewtwo. You can not miss this Pokémon that looks scary.

Beware, Mewtwo is at level 70. We first tried to fight him with Pokémon who were between 50 and 50 years old and were quickly destroyed. Since Mewtwo is a psychic type, he is weak in phantom Pokémon, bug and dark type. If you have a beginner with a dark type of movement, it will work very well. Alternatively, you can use a Scyther or a Pinsir (if you were lucky enough to find one), or a ghost type like Haunter or Gengar. You should have a lot thanks to your time spent in the Pokémon Tower. Since you only have five minutes to fight Mewtwo, you must make sure you choose Pokémon that deals a lot of damage.

If you wish, you can use your only Master Ball to catch Mewtwo, as it is the most difficult Pokémon to catch in the game. Or you can try your luck with several Ultra Balls. It's not too difficult to catch Mewtwo with Ultra Balls if you first use some very powerful bays.

Catch legendary birds in the wild

Your first and perhaps only meeting with each of the four legendary Pokémon must take place in their location, but you can see the legendary birds in the wild and mark two or more of the same legendary birds. This is a change of Yellow Pokémon.

To have the chance to see one of the legendary birds in the wild, you have to ride a flying Pokémon like Charizard. You must also have a high capture string, so you must catch a lot of Pokémon in a row. A lure, which attracts rare Pokémon, must be active.
