The face of the Chevrolet Colorado RST 2019 shows everyone that it's a Chevrolet

The mid-sized truck scene is warming up, with the arrival of the new 2019 Ford Ranger and the next Jeep truck. So it's no surprise to see Chevrolet introduce two new Chevrolet Colorado special edition 2019s: a street-oriented model called RST and an all-terrain model called Trail Runner. And the grille of this RST is really something.

Chevy markets the two new special editions as celebrations of more than 400,000 Colorados sold since the launch of the new generation in 2015. First, the new Trail Runner uses a Z71, delivered with equipment such as Rancho off-road shock absorbers, a shield transfer case and an automatic rear locker – and standardizes the front axle and sump guard plates originally launched on the ZR2 but are now optional on the Z71. The optional Goodyear Duratrac all-terrain tires, as well as the ZR2 rock slides are also standard in the special edition.

Unfortunately, despite the difficult name of "Trail Runner," there is nothing new here, just some of the trade pieces that are bolted to a Colorado Z71. This also applies to style, as Chevy says. CHEVROLET will be engraved in capital letters on the grille, as on the ZR2 Bison and on the other new special edition called RST (top). .

Curiously, Chevy does not have a picture of the front of the Trail Runner, but from the back shown above; it will be necessary to wait until I have the chance to drive one later this month to see more.

The RST model is basically just a mid-trim LT model with black trim, black insignia, 20-inch black wheels and, of course, a ZR2 Bison grille.

So, there is nothing spectacular, but I'm not complaining about the fact that Chevy is building more trucks with more standard off-road equipment. The off-road is good.
