To celebrate Armistice Day, the Battlefield 1 players paused the fighting on the 11th hour of November 11th. It was today the centenary of the end of the First World War. Players from both teams of a particular server gathered on the beach to commemorate this memorable event.
On this video shared by a player on Reddit, we see at least 6 players gathering on the beach. They are then attacked by an airplane. At the end of the short film, the player who films the script is killed by an enemy, who apologized later.
"Sorry to stab you in the back," the backstabber says. "I'm upset that our team continues to be killed."
Last year's Christmas break in Battlefield 1 was not really nice to watch, so it's nice to see that this time the players were a little more tolerant.
It should be noted that the developers did not promote this initiative in advance, which means that this stunt was made possible by many like-minded people and honoring Remembrance Day. The technical designer of DICE, Jan David Hassel, even recognized the act Twitter.
