In recent weeks, professionals have used racist language and insults during tournaments. A few days ago, the title was also subjected to a critical bombing on Steam, people being furious against Valve for not having punished the culprits.
In response, Valve issued a detailed statement, stressing that she would not tolerate racist language spoken by players during tournaments.
In a blog post, Valve noted that tournaments brought diversity to his community of players, with the participation of players from around the world. However, the company is not a fan of professionals who use racist remarks at its events, as each player represents the vast community of players and should pay more attention.

Of all the interactions we have seen over the years, we know that professional players basically respect each other immensely. However, we want to be very clear that Valve will not tolerate racist language between professional players. We think it's really damaging for the entire Dota community when a single professional gambler uses discriminatory language. He pits fans against each other, belittles and belittles whole groups and gives them the impression that they are not so important. In the future, we expect all teams participating in our tournaments to hold their players accountable and be prepared to make heavy penalties when players represent Dota and his community.
