Domino's Pizza – yes, the pizzeria – played an important role during the revelation of Diablo Immortal during the BlizzCon 2018 as part of a Facebook promotion regarding its "Treasure Chest" offer.
An article from Domino's Pizza Malaysia on Facebook contains an image that reads as follows: "This is not an April prank fish joke out of season." It's about 39 a reference at the time of the question-and-answer session of the Immortal Diablo a member of the audience asked: "Is there any joke of the April fish off season? ?
Facebook's image also shows a man – presumably a Domino employee – standing in front of a microphone and wearing the same suit as the audience member who asked the Diablo Immortal developers. To go even further, the text of the Facebook publication refers to the revelation event several times:
"No diabolical projects here, we just want to improve your gaming experience! Immortalize your characters with our treasure chest items when you get Domino's pizzas! Order here to claim your items quickly before DIA BLOW is blown away.
You can see the timing of the BlizzCon 2018 publication to which the Domino's Pizza article refers in the clip below. And if you want to compare the outfits of the guy who asked the question and the person posing in the Facebook message, here is the picture of Domino's Pizza Malaysia.
Blizzard received a huge reaction from fans after the revelation of Diablo Immortal. That seems to be due to the fact that many of them were expecting Blizzard to announce a Diablo 2 remaster or a Diablo 4 on PC – Diablo Immortal is more of a mobile game.
Activision Blizzard shares fell 7.4% just after Diablo Immortal's revelation, apparently due to the negative reaction it received. However, it was reported that a developer Diablo 4 had been removed from the BlizzCon 2018 at the last moment.
