With this week's weekly reset, Destiny 2 fans can finally complete the Loss of the mystery of the murder of Cryptarch. Veteran players from D1 will be happy to learn that this quest brings them back to a very familiar place: the cosmodrome. For those unfamiliar, the Cosmodrome was the first patrol zone that players could explore in the first game. This quest will bring back a lot of nostalgia for some players.
Yes Destiny 2 Players have followed the Lost Cryptarch quest to this point. When players log in, they will be asked to search for Amanda Holliday to complete the quest. She will send players to the EDZ zone to find a fallen teleporter that will direct them to the cosmodrome. Players are moved to the place where their Ghost resurrected them at the beginning of destiny. This mission as a whole, and its reward, are a snap to the first gameplay demo that Bungie has shown for destiny at the 2013 E3.
Players will cross the snow-covered cosmodrome to avenge Master Ives once and for all. The players will eventually meet the giant captain who murdered Ives. The remove ends the quest and allows players to browse the section of the Cosmodrome until they leave.
Although the complete cosmodrome is not open to exploration, veteran players may appreciate the small part that Bungie allows players to search. There are several scannables in the mission area, but they are not required to retrieve them.
When the players return to Holliday, she will give them the last engram of Ives, who, once deciphered, will give the exotic gun Heavy Machine Gun Thunderlord. Players who had followed the leaks and the datamines already knew that this weapon was coming back since the players had found the new ornaments of Thunderlord in the database of the game.
Players must complete this quest as soon as possible, as it will disappear after the season on November 27th. Guards may no longer be guaranteed by the Thunder Lord because they will only be part of the group of exotic loot.
November 27 marks the end of the outlaw season and the start of the forge season. Fortunately, Thunderlord will hold players until they can have more heavy machine guns in the Black Armory DLC.
Destiny 2: Abandoned is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
