Dozens of Android users report that the Instagram app was no longer working for them on Saturday morning, with some posting issues on their mobile on Twitter since Friday night.

At least one user reported this connection led to a blank screen. As the writer Andrew LaSane pointed out on Twitter, the company currently does not list any known issues on its website, although users report the bug on social media for more than 12 hours. Neither Instagram nor its parent company Facebook had published official response to complaints as of the date of publication.

Some Twitter users m said this header to Application Settings, forcing a shutdown and clearing the cache and data seemed to solve the problem.

The apparent Android glitch is not the only problem that Instagram users have treated this week. The information reported Friday that the social media company had contacted some users earlier this week about a security breach exposing their passwords. Instagram reportedly told its users on Thursday that the platform's "Download Your Data" tool was putting their passwords at risk by including them in the URLs of their browsers.

A spokesman for the company said the problem was "a very small number of people," according to the information, but the company nevertheless advised some users to clear their browsers history and update their password.

Gizmodo contacted Instagram for both issues and we will update it upon our return.
