Microsoft's Surface devices are among the highest-end Windows devices on the market, but prices may be a bit too high for some consumers with smaller wallets.
No reason to worry though, as a number of retailers are discounting Surface for Black Friday. Whether it's the Surface Pro 2017, Surface Pro 6 or Surface Go, here's how (and where) you can save a lot on Surface this holiday season.
Surface Pro 6
The Surface Pro 6 has just been launched in mid-October, but some retailers are already reducing their prices and grouping the device with a keyboard to help you save on holiday prices. The best deals on the device are naturally available on the Microsoft Store, but other retailers like Costco also offer discounts on some Surface Pro 6 models.
- Available from November 22 at the Microsoft Store. Bundle and save $ 300 on an Intel Core i5 Surface Pro 6 processor with 256 GB SSD and 8 GB of RAM. A Type Cover keyboard (usually a separate purchase of $ 160) is included.
- Available from November 22 at the Microsoft Store. Save $ 330 on the Intel Core i7 Surface Pro 6 processor with a 512 GB SSD. Type Cover Keyboard is included.
- Available from November 16 to 22, $ 60 membership required at Costco. Save up to $ 200 on the Surface Pro 6. The package includes the surface type cover and the surface stylus, usually separate purchases of $ 160 and $ 100. The Intel Core i5 model is refreshed in physical Costco stores and the Intel Core i7 model is also included in the sale, but only online.
Surface Pro 2017
Given the new version of the Surface Pro 6, the Surface device of the last generation will be slightly cheaper for the holidays. This older model uses a 7th generation processor, but looks almost identical to the Surface Pro 6 on the outside. Purchases on the Microsoft Store and Best Buy are your best assets if you want to save money.

The Surface Laptop is an interesting alternative for students looking for a sleek and lightweight Windows device, comparable to a MacBook Air. At the time of writing this article, few retailers are updating this device. Your best bet on savings is to go to the Microsoft Store, online or in person.

Prices for this device usually starting at $ 1,000, the price reduction is quite reasonable and can allow some models not to exceed $ 750. Surface to go
Surface Go is already Microsoft's most affordable Surface device, but holiday sales make it even cheaper. On the Microsoft Store, you can save up to $ 50 on some models of 2-in-1 10-inch ultra-portable models.

The Surface Book 2 is Microsoft's most powerful device with 8th generation Intel processors and up to 17 hours of video playback. You will not find this 2-in-1 convertible for sale at major physical resellers, but at the time of writing this article, Amazon's third-party sellers are discounting certain models.
