Donald Faison, the Scrubs actor, does not seem happy that Fortnite uses his dance

These days, you can not even go to a Scrubs meeting without Fortnite coming. During a round table with the actors of the medical sitcom, Donald Faison, performed by surgeon Chris Turk, called Epic Games and Fortnite for using a dance that he had created on the spot to the issue without paying it.

Faison joins artists such as Chance the Rapper and 2 Milly to not be impressed by Epic's use of their dance steps as emoticons. 2 Milly plans to take legal action on Epic's appropriation of her dance, the Milly Rock, which she renamed Swipe It. Faison was not so serious with his indignation on the Vulture Festival scene, video below, but he was not particularly happy with the pinch of his gesture.

When he was asked to perform the Poison dance, he sat stoically before slaughtering the petition.

"If you want to see it, you can play Fortnite because they screwed up shit."

He adds that no one has been paid for it. This is not one of the dance emotes you have to buy, so Epic does not earn money directly, but certainly benefits from the creation of Faison. For children, for whom Fortnite is undoubtedly a more important affair than a show that ended eight years ago, dance is a Fortnite dance. Epic does not attribute dances to their original creators, so it's not difficult to understand why one might think they see something original.

Regardless of ethics, Epic has technically done nothing wrong, at least from a legal point of view. The dance movements are not protected by copyright, and the creator of the series, Bill Lawrence, stepped in to explain that Epic had made contact with him to inform him of the legality of its use.

"Fortnite had to learn about its legality, and that's good because it's just a character who dances."

Lawrence was a little indifferent to the use of dance in Fortnite, but he is not the creator of the dance either. As a rule, the committee joked about this, however, claiming that they were all paid, unlike Faison.

Faison stayed true to his weapons and did not play the dance, unfortunately, and for that, you'll just blame Epic.

Cheers, PCGamesN.
