Skyward Sword teased for the release of a switch at the Legend of Zelda concert in Japan

Eiji Aonuma, the show's producer for Zelda, apparently teased Switch for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword at the 2018 2018 Legend of Zelda concert in Japan.

The concert – which took place in Osaka – included pieces of music mainly from Breath of the Wild, but also contained special and iconic songs from the entire franchise.

Aonuma would have attended the concert and, based on the comments of fans on social media, he went on stage and spoke about the 2011 Wii game, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword: "We know what you think, Skyward Sword on Switch, right?"

According to the fans, this statement prompted the audience to applaud and shout that the game could possibly come on Switch, as a remastero or port.

Skyward Sword has been "trapped" on the Wii for 7 years now, with no other release or port. The game uses the Wii MotionPlus device, which means that it would be difficult to replicate the 1: 1 movement required by the game. The Joy-Con of Switch may be the answer to our prayers thanks to its ability to mimic motion commands present in the Wii days.

In other news from Legend of Zelda, Nintendo seems to be hiring a dungeon designer for the next entry in the Zelda franchise. We also have two lists you should check out: one for PS4 games similar to The Legend of Zelda and another for the upcoming games that Zelda fans should have on their radar.
