"Our introduction projects for V-Series and Blackwing V-8 are unaffected by the news of the day," wrote Cadillac. "The CT6 will continue to be built in China for this market."
I wanted to be more sure of this wording so I asked for a follow-up. US buyers will no longer have CT6 after the end of production, right?
"We expect a good availability of CT6 customers in North America for most, if not all, of 2019," Cadillac responded, "even with the end of production of the car in Detroit-Hamtramck in middle of the year ".
Basically, Cadillac wants you to know that there should be plenty of unused CT6 all year round, if you want one.
Anyone who strangely monitors CT6 sales will tell you that it is disappointing, but not quite shocking, given how badly everything is being touched by GM. It's still funny to hear coming from Cadillac itself.
