Earlier this month, owners of Nintendo Switch were affected by the bad news that the new Yoshi Side-scrolling adventure for this console would not go out this year. Apparently, the developer needs a little more time before letting go of the dino hero on his last adventure.
But the good news is that the game will be worth the wait. Speaking with IGNBill Trinen of Nintendo of America noted that there was a good reason for the delay.
It was not an unfinished game issue, but rather the development team that is looking to make overall improvements for it to shine compared to previously published games like The story of Yoshi on Nintendo 64 and The woolly world of Yoshi for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
"In fact, he is making very good progress," he said about the delay. "They decided that they wanted to make some improvements, so they'll just take a little more time on it and that's why we do not show them this year at the show (E3), but I think you can look to the future for some updates later in 2018. "
These updates are likely to unfold around September or October, when the game could be shown at events like Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show depending on whether Nintendo wants to pay full attention to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as at E3. At the very least, we will probably get more Yoshi in action with a Nintendo Direct around the fall season, including a possible look at new levels and abilities in the game.
We will probably see a more finalized title for the Yoshi game over the next few months, maybe something that ties with Woolly world. We will know it soon!
While some Yoshi fans may want to play sooner, it's certainly not the end of the world. The Nintendo Switch already hosts a number of platform games, including a good port of Rayman Legends; l & # 39; lovely Kirby Star Allies; and, of course, the majestic Super Mario Odyssey. And that's not even counting independent darlings like Celestial, which are worth their weight in gold.
