For the first time, Nissan is collaborating with Italdesign to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Japanese automaker and Italian design group's GT-R supercar.
The result is a GT-R prototype of an estimated power of 710 hp at 7,100 rpm and 575 lb-ft. (780 Nm) torque of 3,600-5,600 rpm, wrapped in a single sheet and trim.
The custom GT-R50, whose Nissan notes does not hint at the next-generation version of the supercar (rumored to be due in 2020), answers the question: "What if we create a GT-R without limits, and that we were going to build it? " Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president of global design for the Japanese automaker, statement.
Main exterior design features of the Nissan / Italdesign GT-R include gold trim around the grille of the car; a larger bonnet bulge; a lowered central roof, but a raised exterior roof; gold inlay in the cooling outlets of the car behind the front wheels; and a rear window line going down longer and deeper than on the standard GT-R, says Nissan.

The supercar prototype is powered by an upgraded 3.8-liter version of the standard GT-R. V-6 VR38DETT engine. To reach more than 565-600 hp, the mill debits in other GT-R, engineers have used large diameter optimized dual flow turbochargers, as well as more robust pistons, connecting rods and bearings. . High flow rate injectors and optimized ignition, exhaust and exhaust systems have also been installed on the GT-R50.
The GT-R 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox features a reinforced rear transaxle and reinforced differentials and drive shafts.
The suspension is revised using Bilstein's continuously adjustable damping system
