EA shared details on the first closed alpha of Battlefield V. The limited time test began on Thursday, June 28 and allows some players to try the next shooter of the Second World War before its release more late this fall, including a part of a big operation.
According to the official Battlefield website, the closed alpha will be available on PC and can only be joined by invitation, which, according to EA, has been distributed to a "small group" of Battlefield players. The invitations will contain a code to download the alpha client, which must be exchanged via Origin to enter.
Those invited to participate in the closed alpha will be able to try two modes of Battlefield V: Conquest and Grand Operation Fall of Norway. The first is the classic Battlefield multiplayer mode that pits two teams against each other in a fight to take control of the key points on the map, while Grand Operation is a narrative multiplayer experience focused on different maps and different types of gameplay.
The fall of Norway, the great operation of the closed alpha, takes place on the Arctic Fjord map. Players will be able to try two of its modes: Airborne and Breakthrough. Depending on your side, Airborne will drop players on the map to fight enemy artillery or stop incoming troops, while Breakthrough will assign them areas of capture or defense against the attacking side.
EA also says that participants will be able to undertake a special assignment and several daily orders during the closed alpha. The Special Assignment consists of several tasks in play, and the rewards reward players with a special Battlefield V dog tag that will appear in their profile when the full game is launched.
Daily Orders, on the other hand, are smaller goals that players can fulfill while playing, such as damaging enemy vehicles or killing a certain class of enemies. EA says that no reward will be offered to complete the daily orders during the closed alpha, but players will be able to win them in the full game.
You can read more details about the closed alpha on the game's website. Battlefield V is slated for the launch of PS4, Xbox One and PC on Oct. 19, but those who will buy the edition Deluxe will have access to it three days earlier, on October 16th.
