Samsung's TV frame brings the touch of an artist to your living room

As TVs get bigger and bigger, they dominate the living room more than ever, and even though your home theater serves as a sanctuary for audio and video, it's not something everyone is looking for. Samsung is trying different ways to change that. The company's newest QLED TVs like the Q9FN include Ambient Mode, which sees television feeling the color of the wall around and blends into your decor, its Frame TV, introduced last year, goes even further, looking to bring a Touch your living room.

Samsung unveiled a new generation of Frame TV, with an even larger collection of virtual art. The TV is intended to be mounted on your wall, and sits instead of standing up like some TVs. When you watch TV, it works normally, but when you turn it off, the built-in motion sensors turn the TV into a work of art. The TV Frame can detect the brightness of your room, adjusting the brightness of the image to react to changes in ambient light.

When it works as a TV, the frame has a 4K UHD display with HDR10 + high dynamic range and is available in 65-inch and 55-inch varieties. Most of the smart capabilities of Samsung's QLED 2018 line can also be found in the 2018 framework, like Easy Connection, which lets you easily transfer your Wi-Fi settings and details from your Samsung account to your TV.

The Samsung Art Store is where you will find the art of displaying on your TV, ranging from paintings of various styles to 30 photographs provided by The New York Times. If you're looking to match the TV to your room, you can easily browse by color, allowing you to find something that blends subtly or stands out dramatically. A subscription to the Samsung Art Store is available for $ 5 a month and allows you to access the entire art available whenever you want, although the art can also be purchased à la carte. New subscribers get a free month.

Frame 2018 is now available on the Samsung website, priced at $ 2,800 for the 65-inch model and $ 2,000 for the 55-inch model. To make sure that it is the right television for you, do not forget to check out our TV buying guide and our list of the best TVs you can buy.
