The Huawei patent also gave some details on what wireless headphones will present. The patent notes that the wireless headphones will be equipped with Bluetooth and that it could also be water resistant. Headphones can also include active noise canceling technology, as Digital Trends points out. Pairing wireless headphones with a smartwatch seems like a good idea. This would allow users to take calls on their smartwatch using wireless headphones instead of flipping their wrists or removing their smartphones.
The patent was approved by the World Intellectual Property Organization on June 28. to come from Huawei, there is still no guarantee that it will become a real product. Large companies such as Huawei are filing dozens of patents to cover all future product opportunities, but most of these patents do not see the light of day. The company also obtained a patent for a gaming smartwatch in May, so Huawei could consider many different possibilities, as pointed out The Verge .
Even though Huawei is really working on the Huawei Watch 3, it seems like it would take a long time before it's released. The company just launched the Huawei Watch 2 2018 edition last month, so it makes sense that the Huawei Watch 3 is not available soon.
Earlier this year, Huawei's CEO, Richard Yu, confirmed working on the Huawei Watch 3, but said that they were taking their time. "It will come later – there is no rush because Huawei Watch 2 is selling well," Yu told TechRadar in February. "We are not in a hurry, so we are launching the new watch later."
