AMD has announced an affordable desktop processor with integrated graphics designed for games. With prices starting at just $ 55, AMD described its Athlon 200GE as a reinvented chip that has been "optimized for everyday PC users." The Athlon 200GE dual core is available in two references: and professional users.

The Pro and non-Pro variants share similar specifications, with two cores and four threads, a basic clock speed of 3.2 GHz and three graphics units. Neither version comes with improvement speeds, and AMD lists 5 MB of cache for the Pro model. The main difference between the two variants is that the Pro version will benefit from commercial support and better management. The Athlon 200GE is a 35W processor that combines dual-x86 Zen processing cores with AMD's Radeon Vega graphics architecture for a system-on-a-chip design.

The chips are based on Raven Ridge's AMD architecture, which combines the processor and graphics processor with what it calls the APU, or accelerated processing unit. The Athlon 200GE is unique because, unlike former members of the Athlon family, the GPU part is not disabled. AMD says the chip is ready for advanced workloads, such as high-definition gaming.

"It delivers up to 67% higher graphics performance and up to twice the energy efficiency, delivering high definition PC games 84% faster than competitors," AMD said in a statement. We'll have to wait to see how AMD's new Athlon processors are tested and performing in real-world tests, but players looking for better performance will likely want to upgrade to Ryzen's AMD processor series. The Ryzen 3 2000G, for example, currently sells for $ 100 and comes with a quad-core processor architecture and enhanced and integrated Radeon Vega 8 graphics.

The new AMD Athlon 200GE is expected to compete with Intel's Pentium Gold G5400 entry-level processor, which debuted this year. The Pentium G5400 comes with a processor design similar to two and four-wire with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 610 processor. The Intel chip has a base speed of 3.7 GHz and has 4 MB of cache watts. Intel's model costs 64 dollars. An updated Intel Gold G5600 processor costs $ 88, and its chip has a 3.9 GHz clock speed slightly faster. Intel's two Intel Pentium processors and two AMD Athlon 200GE processors are based on a 14-nm design.

AMD has also announced a new generation of second-generation Ryzen Pro for commercial customers. The Ryzen 7 Pro 2700X and Ryzen 7 Pro 2700 come with an eight-core design with 16 threads. The 2700X is a 105-watt chip and has a base speed of 3.6 GHz, while the 2700 model is a 65-watt processor with a base speed of 3.2 GHz. The 2700 and 2700X both have a boost rate of 4.1 GHz. The AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 2600 is a six-core chip with 12 threads using a 65-watt design. This processor has a base speed of 3.4 GHz and a maximum speed of 3.9 GHz,
