Fans have been convinced since the beginning of this year that we are getting a new Splinter Cell game soon, though, E2 2018 has been coming and going, and Ubisoft has yet to reveal or even tease a new game with Sam Fisher, however, he said that he still wants to make another game in the series.

In advance of this week, Ubisoft has reaffirmed once again its plans for the series, but as for previous tempting attempts, the French company is in the process of deciding on its commitment.

Addressing GameSpot, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot repeated his sentiments Splinter Cell series, noting that, finally, we will see something, but for now, there is still no details to share.

In pressing on the question of whether we will soon see the franchise, the CEO responded in these terms:

"So I'm going to disappoint you because I do not have an answer to give you exactly, but every mark we have, and every character, we want them to live long-term, so one day you'll see something, but I can not give you more details. "

For those who do not know: the speech of Splinter Cell Last year, Guillemot announced that Ubisoft was receiving launches for a new game in the series. It was in June 2017. In the period leading up to E3 2018, more and more evidence was showing an imminent comeback, but as mentioned above, E3 2018 was Sam Fisher-less.

Yet, that does not mean that there is no Splinter Cell game in development right now. If that's the case, expect to see it at E3 2019, if it is actually developing. If he does not stand up, it is possible that there is not any Splinter Cell in development. But that seems unlikely. And if that's the case, it's only a matter of time before.

Personally, I would like to see a new Splinter Cell game, maybe even a smooth restart. And with Metal gear put aside, there has never been a better time for the series to shine and prosper. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
