Pixel 3 XL: Google could end up launching an entirely different phone on October 9th

Google seems to have misled bloggers and tech journalists about the Pixel 3 XL.

Google seems to have played a "marketing move" with the Pixel 3 XL leakage chain. According to Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech (FPT), Google seems to have misled technology bloggers and journalists about the final look and specifications of the Pixel 3 XL. He also claims that Google contacted him and four other YouTube vloggers (video bloggers), asking them to submit clips that could be used to promote Google's next flagship product.

According to these videos, published on the "First tech page" The YouTube channel, Prosser, says he has received an email from someone associated with Google's hardware division regarding the possibility of loaning images of previous Front Front Tech shows for the Pixel 3 XL promotion. In the first video, posted on Sept. 6 (Episode 727), Prosser mentions an employee background check, whose LinkedIn profile indicated that the Google executive was listed as a line producer. While some have made fun of him for making a false claim, Prosser continues to show a screenshot of the email received from Google's anonymous employee on the FTP episode of the September 7 (Ep. 728).

Although the coordinates are blurry, it is clear that this person is one of the creative producers of Google Hardware, looking for a "high quality" version of the clip used in a previous FPT video. The e-mail also contains a line in which the employee mentions "contacting 5 technology bloggers, including you" for video leaks Pixel 3 XL reported last month. This suggests the likelihood that Google will create a montage of such video clips, which Prosser sees as a great marketing tactic. It also takes into account the forthcoming iPhone launch, and states that Google could have created the "fake" hype around the phone, to divert users' interest in official Pixel 3 XL promotional messages, and ultimately , the start.

The evidence supporting Prosser's claims can be found in the modification date of the launch of the Pixel 3 series. When it was scheduled for Oct. 4, Google finally sent out official press invitations with the date of launch of October 9th. In addition, the increase in leaks observed in August and the beginning of the month does not seem natural for a phone that must be launched in nearly a month. Regarding leaks, the Pixel 3 XL was seen with a notched screen and a full glass bottom, as well as a single rear camera and two front camera sensors. These images have been seen several times, with 3D images, 360-degree interactive videos and high-quality shots. The most recent incident among them concerned a Lyft driver finding the phone in his cabin, and pictures of the phone, which appeared to him, resembled the rumored Pixel 3 XL.
