Microsoft has started sending invitations for a new Surface event to be held on October 2nd. The company is asking for a "moment of your time" in New York at 4:00 pm local time, or 1:30 (October 3) in India. The event, according to The edge, will focus on hardware, software and services.
It has been claimed that Microsoft could update Surface Pro and Surface Laptop with the latest Intel processors. This makes sense – after all, Intel recently announced the launch of the Whiskey Lake Y Series and Amber Lake chips at the IFA 2018 Technology Show in Berlin.
Beyond that, it's hard to know what other devices the company plans to launch on Oct. 2. Previously, it was reported that Microsoft was working on a brand new Surface Pro tablet, but according to The Verge, the product will not be ready in October. Although there is a chance to see an updated version of Surface Studio, the all-in-one PC. The Redmond-based company has also developed a Surface brand helmet, similar to Jabra Evolve, that could be launched at the event.
