Call of Duty fans are counting on the next multiplayer beta version of Black Ops 4.

Prior to the Black Ops release date of October 4, Activision will test the all-new Battle Royale mode as part of the Blackout beta.

Described as a celebration of the Black Ops universe, Blackout is a Battle Royale mode that can accommodate up to 80 players.

The standing mode in the last person sees solitary players, duets and teams confronting each other to be the only survivors on the largest map of the history of Call of Duty.

The beta version of Call of Duty Blackout starts on September 10 at 6:00 pm UK time, but only for pre-order customers of PS4.

The beta version of Call of Duty Blackout continues on September 14 at 6pm, when it opens to Xbox One and PC users.

The beta version of Blackout lasts until 5pm (French time) on September 17th, which means that pre-order customers of PS4 enjoy a full week of action.

While the beta version of Blackout is reserved for customers pre-ordering only on the consoles, PC users can get a free code without pre-ordering the game.

If you're on a PC and want to check out Blackout Battle Royale but you do not have a pre-order, you can try the new game mode from 6pm UK time on September 15th.

Anyone with a code for the closed beta of previous Black Ops 4 will automatically be registered in the beta version of Blackout.

Digital pre-order customers will also be automatically registered for the beta, while all other users should exchange their codes on the Blackout website.

Anyone with the previous multiplayer beta of Black Ops 4 will not need to pre-load the beta version of Blackout. However, a patch is required to access the Battle Royale mode.

Will the new Callout Duty Blackout mode be bigger than Fortnite? Let us know in the poll below …

Prior to the beta release date, Activision unveiled the Blackout Card, which would be 1,500 times larger than the iconic Nuketown map.

The sites include the Nuketown Island, the train station, the asylum, the hydroelectric dam and the firing range.

Players will be able to explore the map as classic Black Ops characters on land, in the air and at sea.

Zombies will also make an appearance, giving players a chance to loot rare items and weapons.

If you like the Blackout beta, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will be released on October 12th.
