According to PC Gamer, Guy "Dr. Disrespect," a popular Twitch streamer, says that someone shot at his home.
Beahm and his family are doing well. A message on its official Twitch page now indicates that "appropriate action is being taken while the flow is down for the day."
He was playing the beta version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 during filming. After hearing a loud noise off camera, Beahm will investigate. He returns a few moments later, without his wig and his glasses, and says that someone shot his house for the second time in the last two days.
"I have to stop broadcasting right now, someone shot our house," he says. "I broke the window of the upper floor. That's the second shot, someone was shot yesterday in our house and somebody fired again right now, connected to the house, upstairs.
PC Gamer contacted the local authorities and confirmed that a deputy was sent to Beahm, as well as a Polygon reporter.
This is not the first time that a Twitch or YouTube streamer is victim of an alleged attack during the broadcast. The "swatting" – the practice of calling false threats against the police to send armed police to a person – is unfortunately a common danger for this work. Beahm himself was apparently repatriated in March.
The celebrity couple YouTube Gavin Free and Meg Turney would also have been targeted during a home invasion last February. During this incident, the alleged terrorist broke into the couple's home and shot at least one shot with intent to kill Free.
