The latest beta version of the Google app is taking place this afternoon with some developments related to the Pixel Stand wireless charging accessory that could be launched with the Pixel 3. We have another preview of the interface and its features.

Pixel support
Version 8.21 has an animation showing a user who is speaking to Google Assistant and showing the results when the device is still locked. The secure state is visible on the padlock icon at the bottom of the screen, while the device seems to be always listening without any intervention of the user. We also found an interesting greeting, prefaced by a microphone "aodmic" or "AOD".

Earlier versions of the application established how locked devices on a Pixel media could "use your personal information to make suggestions, answer questions, and perform actions." In fact, the animation shows a person creating a Calendar event.
Your assistant can use your personal information to make suggestions, answer questions and take action for you when your phone is locked and on your Pixel support.
Approved devices
Google Smart Lock, part of Play Services, has long been equipped with a Trusted Devices option to keep your phone unlocked if a paired Bluetooth headset or watch is connected nearby.
Maybe tied to Pixel support and other wireless charging stations – considering how users can trust a specific dock – Google can add a preference for trusted devices directly in the settings of the wizard.
You can disable this option in the wizard settings.

Personal and recent research
The Google app is working on a new "General" settings menu that could incorporate preferences for both Recent and Personal Search.
The latter allows users to search in Gmail, Calendar and other supported third-party applications directly from the Google application.
Manage the information displayed in the search from other applications you use. Only you can see these results.

The "Recent" tab that displays in the form of carousel pages that you have already visited could also be enabled / disabled from a new menu.

You can sign up for the beta program of the Google app here or by going to the Play Store list under Android and scrolling down. The latest beta version of the Google app is immediately deployed as soon as it is available.
We do not publish the APKs directly for download, due to the legal challenges of copyright and the possibility of deletion. Meanwhile, this model is evolving at a perilous pace given the changes in the system from the Android App bundles and the dynamic distribution of Google Play.
