Razer Phone 2 should be launched on October 10, the company sends invitations

Razer sends media invitations for the launch of a new product, supposed to be the second-generation Razer phone. The event is scheduled for October 10, which will be held at its headquarters in Hollywood, California. As last year, the event will be organized by Razer's CEO, Min-Lian Tan.

As always, Razer keeps his cards near the chest, without offering details. Interestingly, the invitation to the event mentions the "flagship game" and shows a green outline of what appears to be a smartphone. This seems to indicate that the company will launch the Razer 2 phone on October 10th.

Rumor has it that Razer, the gaming and peripherals company, has been launching the second-generation gaming smartphone for some time. In a winning call a week ago, the company confirmed that it was working on the successor of the original game-oriented smartphone, although no feature has been revealed.

Earlier this week, Android Titles had access to disclosed returns of a new phone what they claim to that of the Razer phone 2. Based on the alleged returns, Razer Phone 2 will have a design identical to the original. In the absence of a few minor changes, the Razer Phone 2 will have the same 16: 9 aspect ratio display and double-sided speaker grille layout. Rumors suggest that the Razer Phone 2 will likely feature a 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM, a 4000mAh battery and up to 512GB of internal storage.

The first Android smartphone from Razer was announced last November. The original Razer phone was created by the team behind Nextbit, a company that built a cloud-centric smartphone, called Robin, and which was later sold to Razer.

The Razer Phone 2 will debut one day after the Pixel 3 launch event in New York. The software giant is expected to introduce the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones, along with the Pixelbook 2.
