Samsung has just launched a phone with a triple-lens camera, and this is not the Galaxy S10 – BGR

Samsung left Thursday from his left field with a phone that is not a flagship product, but which has some new features on Samsung's flagship handsets. The new device is not one of the iconic Galaxy S or Note families. Instead, it bears a boring name that does not do it justice: the Galaxy A7.

Anyone looking for high-end Android handsets is likely to ignore the name of this product as it screams halfway and affordable. The Galaxy A7 is indeed supposed to be a mid-range Android device, although the price has not been shared yet.

The handset features a 6-inch Infinity Full HD OLED flat screen (2220 x 1080 resolution, an unidentified octa-core processor, 4GB / 6GB RAM, 64GB / 128GB storage, 3,300 mAh and Android 8.0 Oreo).

What's interesting about the handset is that its main feature is a rear-facing camera, which is not currently available on Samsung devices. We're looking at a 24-megapixel main lens, an ultra-wide 8-megapixel lens, and a 5-megapixel depth lens. At the front, there is a 24-megapixel selfie camera.

The main camera is placed near the top left corner, as Apple does with the iPhone X phones. Samsung's multi-purpose cameras are usually in a central position, both on the Galaxy S and the Galaxy. Note.

What is immediately obvious is that the Galaxy A7 does not have a fingerprint sensor facing backwards. But the sensor is not included in the screen either. It's because it's on the side of the phone.

The phone will come in four colors, including blue, black, gold and pink, and seems to arrive just in time to face the colorful iPhone XR. Samsung's choice of colors and wallpaper for press rendering looks somewhat like the iPhone XR renders.

It is difficult to know when it will be launched or how much it will cost. But the Galaxy A7 shows that Samsung's DJ Koh was planning to say a few days ago that Samsung would bring new features to midrange phones. "In the past, I brought new technology and differentiation to the flagship model, and then I moved to the mid-point. But I've changed strategy from this year to bring technology and differentiation points from mid-term, "Koh said. CNBC a few weeks after IFA 2018.

The Galaxy A7 has to be like that starts.
