The pace of iteration on Instagram is staggering and helps to leave Snapchat in the dust. Thanks to Facebook's financial resources that fund its product, design and engineering teams, Instagram is able to keep its application full of fresh toys to use. Hashtag selector
The feature is not yet available or even necessarily tested, and Instagram declined to comment. But frequent techster and mobile researcher TechCrunch Jane Manchun Wong been able to dig the hashtag selector prototype designated from the Instagram Instagram app code. It displays a dedicated "Add hashtags" option under the caption composer and the people tagger. Similar past discoveries from Wong have led to TechCrunch scoops on the possible release of video calls on Instagram, name tags, music stickers, and more, although there is still a chance for Instagram to launch this feature.
The equivocation of the hashtags of legends could make their addition to publications less invasive and less troublesome, which would allow more users to do so. This could in turn help Instagram to refine its feed algorithm to show you more posts with hashtags that interest you, get more users following the hashtags, allow it to better sort the Explore page with its new channels like Sports, Beauty and Shopping. But perhaps most importantly, it could just make Instagram less annoying. Everyone has this friend who types so many hashtags that their legends become an incoherent mess.
Geofenced messages
Wong also discovered a powerful new feature that could help social media executives, businesses and professional creators reach the right audience. Instagram has developed a "Choose placements" option for publications, which allows you to choose from a list of countries where you want your message to be visible. Instagram declined to comment.
The geofencing feature can allow Instagrammers to design different content and legends for different countries and languages. Facebook has been providing geofencing for publications for many years and Instagram already offers advertising targeting up to the zip code or the mile radius. But if this selection of sites is launched for everyone's publications, this could allow people and business accounts to express their prismatic identity differently around the world.

The video tagging could generate additional visits for Instagram because few people are willing to ignore a notification stating that they have been named in new content. The feature could also help Instagram determine who to show the videos too by allowing it to place them at the top in the stream of best friends of tagged people.
Combined, this multitude of potential new features proves that Instagram does not allow its dominance to reduce its shipping schedule. It also shows that vice president of Instagram product Kevin Weil, who replaced his former replacement with former News Feed Vice President Adam Mosseri, did not upset the application's pace of innovation.
The jury still does not know if the new Instagram initiatives will take off. IGTV has started slowly, but it will take time to create a long-term video archive to compete with YouTube.
