Kingdom Hearts director of the games series Tetsuya Nomura said at a presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2018 on Saturday about previously revealed news that Kingdom Hearts III will end the game's "Dark Seeker Saga" franchise, "this is certainly not the end of Kingdom Hearts. Nomura also revealed during the event that the game will feature a secret film, but the staff still decides how to implement the secret movie. Nomura said that there could be a different delivery method than previous games, for example the release as a DLC after the release of the game. Nomura added that they thought of a different method for to be fair and avoid potential spoilers for the players. The game team also plans to add online components to the game.

Nomura also revealed the approximate age of several characters from franchiseincluding Terra (20), Aqua (18), Ventus (16), Young Xehanort (18-20) and Master Xehanort (in the 80s).

Square Enix will release Kingdom Hearts III Jan. 25 in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and January 29 in the West. The game was scheduled for release this year.

Square Enix first announced Kingdom Hearts III in 2013. Confirmed worlds include Big Hero 6, Toy Story, matted, Monsters Inc., Pirates of the Caribbean, frozenand the return Olympus Coliseum world. Hikaru Utada returns to interpret the theme song of the game "Don & # 39; t Think Twice" (the song in Japanese is titled "Chikai" or "Oath").

The game franchise includes 11 titles (19 including Final mix titles), and the series has been shipped to 25 million copies worldwide.
