While the Galaxy S10 looks very special effectively, Samsung has something much more exciting (and one much more expensive) coming soon. Unfortunately, it will not be like the exit you were expecting …

An impressive detective work by the always reliable PatemmentApple, brings us news that Samsung can not produce in series its foldable smartphone Galaxy F, potentially revolutionary. And, therefore, this will have a major impact on price and availability.
Why? Perhaps inevitably, it all boils down to the folding display.
Since traditional hard glass manufacturers, such as Corning, can not produce flexible panels, Samsung has had to develop a "clear polyimide plastic film" (a flexible, durable transparent adhesive) to bond to the folding glass. The gift of production, however, comes from the choice of the supplier by Samsung.
PatentlyApple reveals that Samsung has ignored South Korea's leading supplier Kolon Industries in favor of the small Japanese company Sumitomo Chemical. The reason: "because they could satisfy small orders" while Kolon focuses on the mass market.
And, as anyone who has studied business knows, the scale of production is what determines the price. The more you build something, the bigger the economy (and the profit margins). As a result, the Galaxy F is expected to hit the market for $ 2,000.
But not everything is lost.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the Galaxy F launch (despite repeated delays), is Samsung's trust in the phone. DJ Koh, CEO of Samsung's mobile division, has spoken particularly in recent months saying:It's time to deliver"And pointing out that the company wants to be the first to market.
Of course, as any fan of Apple will tell you, being first in the market is much less important than putting the product on the market when it is fully realized. And looking at the Galaxy F, it seems now limited to generation two.
That said, with Samsung hinting that the Galaxy F could be unveiled as beginning of November, the company deserves the benefit of the doubt. And PatentlyApple says that Samsung has laid the foundation for using Kolon as a mass-produced producer for future generations, if the Galaxy F were to impress both in reality and on paper.
Until then, however, the Galaxy S10 is where consumers should really focus their interest. With promising Koh "significant improvements", And leaks revealing everything from one subtle form change, triple rear camera and Ultrasonic reader at 5G support and a real Face rival ID, it's this 10th anniversary phone that really has the potential to upset the market.
Especially as Samsung continues to solve the problems of its foldable phone …
