Tuesday has arrived, which means that the weekly reset in Destiny 2: Forsaken has taken place. As always, this marks a change in the game, as standard challenges are reset (offering a new set of powerful rewards) and other activities are mixed to present you with something new to do. Iron's banner ended and Lord Saladin left the Tower, but this week marks the beginning of a new Crucible mode.
More importantly, some reports indicate that a Gambit boss has dropped an item called Seething Heart. This is apparently the beginning of a series of steps to get your hands on the Exotic Evil, but for now, this remains speculation. We'll let you know more, but for now, here's everything you need to know about the last weekly reset.
Breakthrough, the new crucible mode, is live
Bungie has launched a new type of Crucible game called Breakthrough. It's a mode that turns into a match. Initially, two teams face each other to control an area. The team that manages to do so gets their hands on the breaker, which then has to be brought to the other team's safe to hack it (while this team tries to defend itself). The hacking team has some time to hack successfully, and if they fail to finish it, they lose. It's a best-of-three affair.
Breakthrough will be live for a week as a featured playlist (and is available to Forsaken owners for private matches), so you can easily jump and take part in a match. With the weekly reset on October 2, Breakthrough will join the Competitive Playlist. There are also new cards, including one exclusive to the PS4, to activate the mode.
Ascending Challenge
The Ascending Challenge has moved places again. Once you have entered Petra's weekly bonus, you can use a Queensfoil tincture to get a buff that will allow you to see and access the Taken Portal. This week's portal is located at Seclude de Harbinger; you can see where to go and what to do in our Ascending Challenge Guide. A powerful piece of equipment is to be earned by completing the bounty. Just get ready for a platform.
Spider Bounty – Wanted: Summoner of Gravetide
Spider bonuses have changed, but the most expensive one is the one that should interest you. For five Ghost Fragments, you can choose Wanted: Gravetide Summoner, which is worth it because it offers powerful equipment, unlike other Spider bonuses. The corresponding adventure for this bonus can be found on Titan.

Nightfall Strike options include The Corrected, The Inverted Spire and Strange Terrain. All three carry the same 540 power level recommendation. The most notable of these is The Corrupted, which was added to the game after the launch of Forsaken, once the DLC Raid was defeated for the first time. first time.
Eververse
The selection of items and bonuses available at Tess at Eververse has changed again. Of course, you will want the premium Rise of the Challenge, which offers you a prismatic facet to accomplish any challenge (the facet is used to activate the prismatic matrix, giving you a cosmetic reward). Among the weekly bonuses, the most lucrative – in terms of the Bright Dust obtained on the basis of the Eververse Bouty Notes used – is Heroism in Battle, which allows you to complete five strikes in a week.
As for the list of objects available with the prismatic matrix, which rotates every week, there are two exotic objects and a handful of items to be won – the 10 come from Forsaken. Here is the complete list:
- All Mine – Exotic Exoticism
- Sneak Attack – Exotic weapon ornament for the colony
- Loaded Dice – Legendary Weapon Ornament for Hazard of the Cast
- Denial Dance – Legendary Emote
- Swiftsong – Legendary Sparrow
- Spectral Circuit – Legendary Ghost Shell
- Cordial Diamond Shell – Legendary Ghost Shell
- Shrike – Legendary Sparrow
- Bestial projection – Projection of rare ghosts
- Lucky Shot – Rare Emote
Petra
Unfortunately, Bungie continued to move Petra. It is no longer located next to the landing zone of the Dreaming City, having moved to a new location in Rheasilvia. She will always offer powerful equipment to complete two of her weekly bonuses, among which you have several choices.
Among them is a new mission, Dark Monastery, which continues the story that has developed since the Forsaken Raid was defeated. You will also notice visual differences in the dream city, with Taken Blight balls filling the sky in some places.
Clan premiums
Three new weekly Hawthorne bonuses are now available. These cover the whole range and unfortunately do not overlap at all – you will participate in the climbing protocol, blind well and adventures. All three offer legendary gear and XP clans, although the one involving the climbing protocol offers you the most points of experience.
- Mutual Escalation – Complete five waves of climbing protocol with members of your clan
- Draw – Level II and Level III completion with clan comrades
- Band of Adventurers – Finish three adventures with clan comrades
Avantgarde strikes
The weekly challenge for strikes asks you to complete a strike using the same element of the subclass as one of your team members – canceling would be a wise choice, as you'll see below. You will have to do it three times to win a powerful equipment award. The modifiers for this week are:
- Monkey Void – Increases Void Damage
- Glass – recovery is twice as fast but health and shields are halved
- Heavyweight – more power ammo, power weapons do more damage
