This is the second day of Fortnite season 6, but already the game is leaking leaks. This one comes from master dataminer @FNBRleaks, and says that a Save the World object migrates to half of the Battle Royale part (err, the Battle Royale 98% of the game, more precisely).

These would be traps to freeze, an object that "hits all enemies on a trap when triggered, inflicting small damage and slowing down players."

Fortnite It's been a long time since we've long been missing traps, only the Spike Trap being a constant in the game. There are rebound pads that attach to the walls built by the players, but these are used for attack, not defense, and the ear traps are rarely used the most hated goals of the season.

Will gel traps be better? I do not know exactly how they could be.

First of all, peak traps are almost unheard of and killed on all enemies with no health or an exceptional shield. The trick is actually to get the players to enter it, which does not happen often.

Therefore, if the gel traps only do "little damage" and slow down the players, how is it better than a common scare trap that is almost guaranteed to kill the player who triggers it? Freeze Traps makes sense in Save the World's defense-based mode, but here? I do not really understand why Epic would bother.

The only thing I can think about here is that if the ray ends up becoming super big. As, you must now watch a trap at peaks for it to kill you. But with a frost trap, maybe you walk into a room and even though it's three-tile, it still hurts you with freezing juice and you end up slowing down, even if you're not above.

I do not know, maybe I'm missing something, but with some traps already rarely used, I'm not sure that a weaker and slower trap will be an important addition to the game, unless it's much more powerful and useful than I imagine.

When does the Freeze Trap arrive? This could be as early as next week, but we also had a leak of a "balloon" object before the shot of season 6 which is supposed to let the players float, so maybe that's on the bridge instead. But the clown skins come and go and the balloon does not appear, so who really knows.

I'm curious to see how Freeze Traps occurs in the Royal Battle, but I'm certainly not holding my breath for them to change meta, since the one-shot traps are under- used.
