It seems that Nintendo is about to gradually update its updates for Splatoon 2, starting with the 4.1 update that will add the last step of the game. The company has sent a few different tweets on some of their Twitter accounts, showing the last new step in October, as well as an awesome new weapon called Booyah Bomb.
A new special weapon called the Booyah Bomb arrives at # Splatoon2. Once activated, load it faster by signaling "Booyah!". Teammates can also get a small bonus on their special counter with "Booyah!" Rallying cries! Drop it once it's loaded with a big inksplosion! pic.twitter.com/3aQRJYcwzk

It should come as no surprise that Nintendo is slowly fading into updates and moving on to other projects. We are sure there will be more things on the way in 2018, but those looking for drastic additions to Splatoon 2 maybe see the latest implementations next month.
