Mojang revealed his future plans for Minecraft. The new content was announced this year at Minecon Earth – an annual event dedicated to the one and only game of craft, construction and survival.
In addition to the announcement of the arrival of panda crowds and more cats, the next update "Village and Pillage" (scheduled for next year) has been detailed. This content will add new villagers to the game and fill the villages of each world with the new NPC. Villagers' conceptions vary according to the biome. Take a look below at the jungle outfits:
Do not just expect nice people, though. Looters and evil beasts will also be unleashed on the villages around each world. These enemies will be equipped with the new crossbow weapon. Players will also be able to make this weapon. In combat, the crossbow is said to be slower but more powerful than a recurve bow. Enchantments can be used on the weapon to improve reload times or increase shooting ability.
Villages now also have more variety – their appearance depends on the biome. New construction materials, including scaffolding, are also added. On a different but related note, new Minecraft market content will be released for free later this year. Below is a description:
Inspiration Island, a world of floating theme parks, filled with creative challenges. Whether you're creative novice or just in need of some inspiration, a visit here prepares you to create your own revolutionary world. When you leave the island, you'll be a true blue designer with all the talent you need to create incredible things!
The last is the announcement of a brand new Minecraft game. Minecraft Dungeons is inspired by classic dungeon crawlers. Here is the description and the trailer:
What is it? Minecraft: Dungeons? It's a brand new action and adventure game inspired by classic dungeon tracks, where you'll constantly discover new weapons and new items that will help you defeat a raging swarm of new and evil creatures. You will fight or flee into canyons, swamps and, of course, mines!
You can brave the dungeons alone or team up with friends. Up to four players can battle through action-packed levels, filled with treasures and extremely varied, all in an epic quest to save the villagers and defeat the evil Arch-Illager!
The new game should arrive at some point on PC in 2019. Unfortunately, no version of the console is available.
