October is coming and with it a lot, a lot, a lot of video games. Players are about to plunge headlong into the peak season, and the big and small publications are plenty to take care of and empty our bank accounts.
Let's take a look at some highlights before going on to the full list of versions.
Forza Horizon 4 is the first major release of the month, coming on Xbox One and PC next Tuesday. The title is already the second best game of the year. the Forza Horizon The series is an eloquent example of how to do well racing games, and I'm looking forward to giving it a spin. I can do this without a revision code thanks to my subscription to Xbox Games Pass, which earns me this exclusive free and all other Xbox One. Pretty classy (although it would be better if there were more Xbox One exclusives, especially the apparent quality of this game).
Assassin's Creed Odyssey landed a few days later on October 5th. Follow-up (and prequel) to Assassin & # 39; s Creed Origins (so that we can confuse with each of them as ACO) takes us back to ancient Greece and lets the players choose to play a man or a woman. I played the game but I will keep the prints for the coming week. Paul Tassi manages the official magazine of the Forbes Games.
The same day, Super Mario Party is launching on the Nintendo switch. I find that Nintendo Mario Party the games are quite risky, with the Wii U version a pretty big lack. Nevertheless, I hope we will have a fun party game to play with your friends and family. The Nintendo switch has not disappointed yet.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 arrives on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 12, an early exit of this franchise. Until now, from what we have seen and played, the game will be an exceptional addition to the long series of first-person shooter games. Although I'm still sad that there is no single-player campaign, I really enjoyed Blackout's battle mode, I'm mostly optimistic.
October 16th, Ubisoft launches Starlink: Battle For Atlas, a multi-platform space game that looks like toys and has excellent quality from what I've heard so far. Thought Skylanders meets No Man's Sky. I am particularly excited about Switch, where Nintendo characters such as Star Fox are appearing.
The Nintendo Switch Port Dark Souls remastered is preparing to invade on October 19th. I'm excited to play a souls play on the run, but I'm also a little worried about how he's going to perform. I guess we'll see! I've definitely had a great time playing on Xbox One.
An anomaly for October, and really for the year, is Just Dance 2019 which bounces on different consoles on October 23rd. The interesting thing about this game is that it will come out on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Wii. It's pretty unusual for games nowadays, but Ubisoft covers all your game bases. I guess it's a pretty easy game to transfer to old platforms, but still … crazy. I like these games because they are great for kids who can do physical activity and play time at the same time!
Finally, on October 26, one of the most important and most anticipated year – round games is on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Red Dead Redemption 2 seems about as incredible as you want. The prequel to Red Dead Redmeption will be one of the biggest releases of the year, and crown a year of video games that has already been seriously impressive. The online part of the game will not be available until the next month, but honestly: who cares? I am a solo player in the world of Rockstar titles, no matter how much money GTA online did for Rockstar and 2K.
Finally, we have two big betas in October. Read all about the Fallout 76 beta here, and the Overkill's The Walking Dead beta here.
In any case, let's take a look at the full schedule of outings for October. If you know a game (or if you are PR for a game or its dev) that is not on this list, Twitter or Facebook.
