Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Gets New DLC Challenge Tomb In November

Earlier this year, Square Enix publisher announced a downloadable content roadmap for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which included seven monthly downloadable content packs, each bringing a new challenge, weapon, outfit, skills and a secondary mission. The first of these films, The Forge, will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 13th. It is included in the season package of the game (priced at $ 30), but you can also buy it separately for $ 5.

The Forge is a lava-filled challenge tomb that charges you to climb a spinning tower. As we played through the grave, we encountered many explosive gas explosive traps and mouths that sent us to an early grave a few times. Using the same gas vents to move on pendulous pendulums was a clever trick. Reaching the end gave us a grenadier skill, used to make grenades.

We played cooperatively at La Forge and in fact, five of the seven tombs of the DLC Challenge will be playable in cooperation. In co-op, the two players see themselves as Lara Croft and the second as a secondary character. In this case, the second character was Abby, a villager from Kuwaq Yaku. Each DLC associates its challenging tombs with a secondary mission and character, giving the puzzle solving experience a narrative hook.

Each tomb can also be revisited in Time Attack and Score Attack modes. The first records your best moments to complete the grave, while the second sees you collect rays of light and fire glowing lanterns to increase your score. These modes will also be available for the existing tombs of the game.

Starting in November, each of the seven Challenge Tombs will be released monthly. All are included in the season pass and six can be purchased individually. The last one falls, and the only one requiring you to finish the main story of the game, will only be available for season ticket holders.
